I know my story is a lengthy and complicated one. Appreciate if anyone can provide their experiences on LAST NAME change!!!
I have applied my citizenship on 5/19 and got fingerprints done on 6/24.
After my marriage, I did not change my last name to my husbands. So, I got my drivers license and Green card on my lastname before marriage.
Last year when I renewed my passport at Indian embassey I changed my last name to my husbands but did not change in Green card/license. So when I applied my N400, I gave the name whatever is on my green card and ignored my new Indian passport lastname.
Now I am travelling to India and booked tickets based on the new passport name. My questions is, do I need to apply name change in the court before my India travel or just travel to India with marriage certificate and old passport on hand?
Of course I have opted for a name change in N400!
