N-400 Interview - Cannot keep the date

Folks,

I received my request to appear for interview last month. I was going to be out of the country for work that day.

As suggested in the form I returned the invitation and wrote explanation to reschedule the interview.

I did not hear back from USCIS for several weeks. Later it turns out my work will get over the week before and I can make the interview date.

Can I just show up for the interview now? I have a copy of the invitation letter.

I tried reaching USCIS and could not find a person to talk about this.

Please suggest.

Answer to your question-Can I just show up for the interview now? NO

If you sent your invitation letter back for them to re-schedule, then you can not just show up on that day because they will not have you on there schedule.

If i were you, after trying calling with no success, I would book an appointment through an info pass, go down to the office and let the IO know that you are able to keep that original date. Worst case scenario, they will schedule you for another day!!
