  • Check NOT cashed yet??

    Hello Guys,

I have mailed (FedEx Priority) my application on the 9th Sept and FedEx shows delivered on the 10th Sept morning 10am. Till today my check is not cashed. I see in the forum everyone's check is cashed with in two or three days of receipt.

I'm worried now, what should I do?

    Appreciate your inputs/advise.

Sorry to hear its taking so long for USCIS to begin your processing. I know how anxious this makes you. However, without a receipt number, there isnt much you can do right now. If it were me, I'd give it 30 days then send a letter to check on your application.

Hi! I know what you feell.. it happened to me when I filed N-400 for my son... I was really worried because it was almost been 2 weeks but our check was not been cashed.. I was thinking that maybe I did something wrong, we posted it May 02 but last week of May we got a confirmation that May 25 the check was cashed, so don't worry... give some time...
      Goodluck!

Thanks for your reply mariejm & angela_ann2002.

It really frustrating if most people getting their receipts within a week & checks being cashed with in 2 or 3 days, where mine is no response yet for 13 days or so... why for few people it is taking long (angela_ann2002 case it is 23 days to cash), randomly do they verify anything?

I hope the person who signed & took my envelop didn't misplaced. Can you guys give some ideas what we can ask them without a receipt number? I have the FedEx tracking info (person name who signed is very clear)

If your processing center is Arizona, then its taking lot of time in every step of N-400 process. This delay started in the middle of August-2009 & those who apply for N-400 since then is taking longer than other processing centers (fastest center is TX).

So sorry to hear about your case. I have seen that most of the TX members N400 process is very fast compared to other centers. I'm surprised about your case.
Any good news about case now?
