I went for a Naturalization interview on Jan 14th 2019, the interview went well but after the interview, the immigration officer that interviewed me said i passed the english and civic test but unfortunately she's unable to approve my application right on the spot because my "A-FILE" is not in the building. she said they requested for my A-file but haven't got to the building then she said ones they received my A-file decision would be made on my application and i will get decision in the mail.. Please does anyone has the same issue with N400 interview? Please i need help with this cause am little nervous about this...

I passed interview on dec 4 th 2018, its been 4 month , still haven't receiven oath yet . online statue change to in line for oath on feb 4th 2019.This is atlanta filed office

Thanks for mentioning this.I had the same issue at The Baltimore ,MD office.Had attended my interview just like you on Jan 31st 2019.Same situation.Interview went well but finally they say my file was missing & they have to look for it.It is now April 2nd & online status seems the same old stuff that showed up before the interview.I would like to know if you finally got your approval letter & oath appointment.No one here seems to respond to my post too so would appreciate to hear from you on this. I sent a letter to the officer inquiring on this, for which he was courteous enough to ignore!Not sure what to do.Please reply.

Hi guys, this is odd, don't you think? the rule is that after the naturalization interview if they don't give a decision within 120 days then you have the right to go for a writ of mandamus to force the court to make a decision. In the N652 document that they give you stating decision cannot be made, you can see the 120 day limit mentioned at the bottom. Now whether you pursue a writ of mandamus or whether that is the right approach only you and a lawyer can determine. FYI, my wife and I went for citizenship interviews on April 18th. She passed and completed her oath on May 7th. I got a decision cannot be made status. I also saw in another thread here (called decision cannot be made after 120 days) that the applicant is not even able to make an infopass appointment. i am not sure whether this is normal and what timeframe most decisions are made within.anybody looked at the tracker?
