  • Do I qualify for naturalization?

    Hello!
I got married to my husband (he is a citizen) in February 2014 and submitted forms and documents for the green card. I received a work permit card valid for a year and about 8 months later received the green card valid for only 2 years, it expired on december 2017. I submitted then, the paperwork to petition the removal of my conditions, and waited for a year and a half for the final answer and green card. Meanwhile USCIS kept sending letter with "extensions" of my legal status. So in total I've been living in this country for 5 years, 4.5 with legal status, never been out of the USA, not even for a week.
My question is, does the period of time with "extensions" of the first "conditional" green card count towards the legibility Time as permanent resident?

Tank you all, for your help!

Yes, you qualify to apply for naturalization under the 3-year rule starting 90 days before you have been a permanent resident for 3 years, which means you could have applied as early as some time in September 2018. You can apply for naturalization even if your Removal of Conditions is still pending.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
