  • General Question

    Hello,

After 21years of permanent residency in the US.. I have finally decided to apply for citizenship thru naturalization. I am currently 31years old and back in 1998, I was arrested for petty theft and it was reduced to an infraction and paid a citation fee. I am disclosing all of this information regardless of how minor, but I was just curious if an offense like this can be a problem for my application.

I have had no further law problems after that one single embarrassing situation and have been full employed, now married with two kids, etc..

Thank you and I look forward to hearing some feedback.

That should not be a problem.

Thank you so much.. that's a relief. I know this may sound like a silly question, but would 'deportation' of the possibility of my permanent residency being revoked something that could happen by applying for citizenship with this on my file?

      Thank you again..

I don't see this as a problem at all.
