  • N-400 interview "a decision cannot be made at this time"

Had my Naturalization interview June 20th. Passed the written, oral and civics test. I've been arrested before and I submitted all my legal paperwork and certified judgement of conviction paperwork as well, at the end of the interview she asked if I was placed on probation and I said yes which I completed in 2016. she asked if I have the paperwork to show her that I complete the probation and I told i told her I didn't have the paperwork with me but I can sure get certified one from my probation officer and was given a paper at the end N-14 and said she will me RFE that I should follow the instructions and submit all the requested documents.

June 25th i saw Request for evidence sent out under my online account but to my surprise, i never received the actual letter in the mail. i went to info pass on july 15 i was told by one of the officer that the office that he can see that interviewed me created the RFE but never sent out maybe she still working on it that he will see her later in the evening that day and it's been over 2 weeks i went to info pass still no news. someone i know had an interview July 15 with same officer already received RFE monday 29. I'm very worried

If you initially filed online..you should be able to see PDF letters on the website shortly after they are sent to you. This is useful if USPS mess up and lose the paper letter.
If you initially filed by paper... I think you will not see PDF copies on the website. So that can cause an issue if USPS mess up and you never receive the letter in your mailbox.

You are doing the right thing by contacting USCIS but I think you need to be persistent. If someone is dropping the ball inside USCIS you may be delayed indefinitely.

Since you know that the interviewer implied that they want a copy of the "probation satisfied requirements" why not upload it onto your account (if you can... I'm not sure if paper-filers can do that).
If you end up on another InfoPass be sure to take that probation clearance document with you and do whatever you can to get that document formally accepted onto your case with some kind of receipt for the evidence.

    Good luck.

I had an interview for citizenship on may 14th 2018, I pass everything and they told me that "decision canot be make " I never get call for oath ceremony (16 months) . I submitted several service requests and I never get any response, every time I got answer that I have to wait additional 90 to 120 days. I spoke with several higher level immigration officers and they do not have any explanation about my case. There is no way anymore to go for infopass and speak with some officers and find the answers, there is no any email to file complaint with my local office.I really worry that my documents maybe have been lost.
