  • Citizenship Interview

I have my citizenship interview schedule for Sept 5th. Very excited, considering i did not expect to have it until Dec/Jan. Question though. It says on the form that the interview will be 2 hours long. Is this normal? Everything i have seen says it usually last 20-30 minutes. Any insight would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

my interview was almost 30 mins, had to correct some answers,
6 months after I filled my N-400 I found out that I was registered to vote in 2016 and had no idea about it.
Fortunately, the State of Texas registered me to vote in error and got a later from the tax office stating that.
my N-400 was approved and waiting for my Ceremony.

    don't worry and answer honestly.

    Good luck

        Your welcome,
yes, my later stated that it may take 2 hours, I spent around 50 minutes in the waiting area until my number was called. The interview itself took around 30 minutes.
some people they don’t even spend 10 mins in the interview.
i just had too many mistakes in my application and had to correct them with the IO

Would either of you be willing to upload a copy of that standard letter with your names etc redacted?
It will be useful to try to accumulate a set of all the standard form letters for people who follow in your footsteps.
I'm also interested in seeing the standard form where they tell you which things to bring... it's the one that may include things like "Selective Service" information.
I've heard about it but never seen it.

My does have a line item about bringing selective service information. But since I did not get my green card until I was 35, I didn’t have to apply. I’ll try and do it later.

              Hi Cdn1978
can I ask you couple of questions about the selective service registration?
I was wondering what did you marI on question 44?

ARE YOU A MALE WHO LIVED IN THE UNITED STATES AT ANY TIME BETWEEN 18TH AND 26TH BIRTHDAY?
Did you answer YES O NO TO THAT QUESTION?
