  • Employment based GC questions in Citizenship interview

What kind of questions can I expect to be asked during the interview regarding my employment based GC?

I worked for 2+ years with the sponsor after I received my EAD (they applied while I was on someone else’s H1B). Then I left the company for better opportunities and my GC was not approved for another 6 years. Made 3-4 changes since leaving my sponsor.

Should I be worried? What are some good answers? Any personal experience?

    Thanks!

They will check your current employment only. They won't check past employments.

Be prepared to show your current employment proof.

How long did you stay with the employer/sponsor (at the time of GC approval)?

All that I did was to google for information.

This link is interesting. If the link gets censored by the spam-filters simply google for "Employment obligation to employer after green card approval"

        http://www.kuzminalaw.com/immigratio...-card-approval

In a nutshell, you can change employers even BEFORE you get the green card if the new job is "similar". You can also change jobs soon after getting the green card too.
You just need to show that your intent at the time of applying for the green card was to work for that company and that any alternative job was "similar"

So any questions will be trying to find out your initial intent and if the jobs are all "similar". (see article for definition of "similar")
