These days, the USCIS often say that their cases need to be checked for "Quality Control".

I can only assume that they are telling the truth and that the cases really ARE being passed to another person to be looked over and maybe for them to have a joint conversation. Unfortunately, any time there is a delay or next step in the process it seems to add a short delay as things move from one person's outbox to the next person's inbox. I think they will probably rubber-stamp your case and it's now just a question of waiting for that rubber stamp.

We can never know for certain, but that's my best guess.
