quick n-400 question

My wife will be eligible for citizenship in October of this year. Could she mail out form n-400 in say June since processing time is about 5 months or does she have to wait til October to process?

She can apply 90 days before her 3rd year anniversary( if she obtained her Green Card based on Marraige) or 5 years innon-marraige related situations.
