Hi,

I am married to a US citizen and currently I have a conditional green card which is to be renewed next year. I was sponsored by my father in law. So would I require his sponsorship again to renew my green card till I get my citizenship?

I am asking this because he might not be interested in signing any paper again.

I guess so, you would need to renew it through him since its a conditional GC. Usually I have heard that its spouse sponsership, but this is first time Im hearing that its father-in-law sponsership.

If you have a non conditional GC, then you could renew it without much difficulties.

I understand but He was my joint sponsor with my wife because my wife was not working, so in that case do i still need his signature one more time to renew my GC?
