NEED HELP with N.400 (Application for Citizenship) Part. 12. Question 28

In Form 400 (Application for Naturalization/Citizenship) Part 12. Question 28, states as follows:

28. A Have you EVER been in jail or prison?
B. If you answered 'YES," how long were you in jail or prison? YEARS_____ MONTHS ______ DAYS_____

My question:
IF this incarceration was over 30 years ago, and this information is no longer available through the Courthouse records, where exactly can I get the exact number of years, months and days of incarceration. What governmental agency can provide this or what websites can I go to to inquire about this specific information.

You will still need to list it
If the exact days are not known, round off to the closest month
You should ask family / friends to get with the court (in your country) to understand where you can obtain the records

Thank you for your prompt response. It was here in the USA, since records were purged from the system and only about 10 sheets of paper were obtained though only microfilm copies, there is not much information or documentation to answer this particular question correctly, can only go by memory (30+ years ago)!
