Leaving US after applying for citizenship

Is it OK to leave US for a couple of months after applying for citizenship N-400?

I will be eligible to apply for N_400 but due to some family issues I need to go to UK for 2 months. Will this cause any issues at the interview?

If that trip is not part of an overall pattern of many trips especially if there are long ones in there, then it should not be a problem.

Please be aware that if you are a "no show" for an appointment, even the fingerprint appointment, they will Administratively Close your application if you do not contact them within 30 days of the missed appointment. If it gets admin closed, then you have one year to contact them to reopen the case (there is no fee or form, just contact, a letter, InfoPass appt., or a phone call but I wouldn't trust the phone call option).
