Preparer and interpreter for mother's n-400 application

Hi All, My mother is in the process of applying for her naturalization. She can understand and speak english but not at the level that she can answer all of n-400 form questions by herself. My questions are

1) If I'm helping her understand the questions and navigate thru the online form, does that make me the preparer and/or interpreter? In other words, should she answer the following question as Yes or No
--> Is a preparer assisting you with completing this application?
--> Is an interpreter assisting you with completing this application?

2) Does it matter if the applicant is using a preparer and/or interpreter?

I think you can add yourself as preparer, I got assistance at citizenship Day at San Jose for my mother's application filling.
How are you going to prepare for interview for your mother? as I am in same boat, my mother understands little bit but not fluent english.. please share..
