passport issued same day is that true?

i just want to make sure if u can get ur passport in the same day from san francisco passport center ... is that true?
i really need my passport to be done in 1 day...
any1 has been in this experience before? ur help and opinion r appreciated !

Yes. it can be done. You have to have proof (ticket in hand or proof of reservation) and show up early. Don't forget your payment.

yes the US passport...

the reason why i am asking is that i live like hour n half away from san francisco...so i wana make sure that my ride down there for 1 day will b fruitful ! (of course as long as i have all the docs needed with me..)

what about the agencies that do the passport for u in 1 day or 24 hrs...??r they true or a scam? i am reluctant to send them my docs especially the Certificate of Naturilization ! i dont want that to be lost !!
