Swearing in just 3 weeks before international trip

Hi experts!

I just had my interview and am scheduled for the swearing in ceremony later this month at which point they will take away my green card and I will become a citizen.

However, I have an overseas trip coming up just 3 weeks later. Will that be enough time for me to get my US passport before I go on my trip or is there a way that I could keep my green card over this trip and surrender it when I return a week later?

Can you think of any other option I might have?

Here are the processing times as of 2023-12-18 from the State Dept website: Current Processing Times (applied on or after December 18, 2023)

Routine	6 to 8 weeks
Expedited	2 to 3 weeks
Urgent	Must make an appointment and have international travel within 14 calendar days

Thanks. I will probably have to make an appointment and get it done faster. The processing times they post don't include transit and mailing time...
