This I‑94 expiration happened about six years ago when I was on H‑1B. The I‑94 expired because my passport had expired. I renewed my passport within 30 days, and on the 35th day I traveled to my home country and returned, so the total gap was 41 days. Will this cause any issues when I apply for U.S. citizenship? I received my green card three years ago, and I will be eligible to apply for citizenship after five years

Hi,
You are very likely fine and this old I-94 issue should not block your U.S. citizenship application. Unlawful presence starts after the I-94 expiration date even if the only reason was passport expiry. Additionally, You were allowed back in confirms there was no serious issue.
