N-400 Odd interview and req. for + Docs??

We had an interview on July 26 ( our wed anniversary) . The officer called my husband in and asked for additional documents that were already submitted. She then asked about me (I was outside) and told my husband that he will have to return with me at a later day. We submitted the docs 7 days later and now the case status says that we are back in doc request and not in interview.
Any ideas? It has been one month and 12 days.

After the officer sees the documents he requested, he will decide If thats enough evidence to approve your case. If he feels he needs to interview him again, he will then schedule him for another interview.

The best case scenario, your husband will receive an oath letter in the mail. Do you know when the next oath ceremony will be? Usually, they send the oath letter a month earlier.

If two more weeks passes without hearing from them, then an infopass appointment to speak to an officer might be a good start.
