I had my N400 interview on Aug 20 2011. Passed the interview. The IO officer did not say anything about necessary document needed to adjudicate my case. When I got Home i received an email saying.

On August 20, 2011, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires.

I called the 800 customer service phone number and they said the same thing as the email.
Its been a month since they said they mailed in the letter. I have not receive it yet.

If it has been a month and you still got no letter, I would schedule an infopass appointment and talk to an agent in person.

called customer service and they said that there was no letter requested or no RFE sent. I received a letter from them a few days letter saying.

Based on your request, we researched your case and according to our records we have not sent any notices requesting additional evidence. Also, your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter or you can contact the customer service number below.

Status still says RFE sent.

same exact thing

We have the same exact thing with my wife and it has been over a 100 days, waiting for 20 more to get another info pass appointment since they told me to wait the full 120 and come back the last time we went there. Will update the case status.
