I had a severe car accident a year ago. It was immediately determined at the scene that it was at the other driver's fault and they admitted to it 100%.

Even though I was not at fault, I just want to make sure they don't deny me for the lack of good moral character if I don't disclose this. Apparently, I was not cited or anything. My question is, since there must be a record of this at the police and insurance companies, should I mention this accident at the interview?

You did not receive a citation and you were not fined over $500. So you do not need to disclose it during your application. But in the less likely event the officer asks explicitly during your interview if you ever were involved in an accident, then you must mention it.

Do not try to hide anything during your interview. Since your records are clean, there is no harm mentioning it if questioned.
