    Hi, I became Permanent Resident of United States on June,2006, after that in 2 months i.e is aug, i left back to my native country and came back in july 2007 within 11 months to keep my resident status and then as i was doing schooling in my native country and didn't have anyone in States to take care of me i have to return back in aug 2007 to my native country with my parents after that i came in jun 08 back to States to keep my green card and took admission in university and till then from 2008 to 2012 , i have not taken any longer trips outside United states for more than 6 months, and my physical residency has met more than 30 months and 3 months state, district residence, can i now apply for citizenship ? in june 2012, I have green card for more than 5 year now around 6 years..

    If I were in your shoes, I would wait out the 5 years after your last long trip that ended on 07/13/2008 so that you have a clean history of continuous residence. So filing 90 days prior to 07/13/2013; i.e., on 04/14/2013 would be safe. Just my 2 cents.

      They'll be more than happy to take the application fee and then deny you. Just wait 5 years after the last trip.
