  • second interwiev

    my second interwiev is on july 20th.
    i have to bring more documents.
    but this summer
    i ll be out of states because of family issues.
    my question is;
    reschedule is better or being here on time but
    travelling between interwiev and oath is better?
    special thanks for advises..

    I would attend the interview on its scheduled day. Re-scheduling usually adds a lot of time plus uncertainty and there is a high risk that it can be delayed significantly.

    There is no problem for traveling between the interview and oath. Just when you go to your oath ceremony, you need to indicate at the back of your oath notice that you traveled after the interview.

    When you travel after your interview, make sure someone is checking your mail so that you do not miss your oath date.

    Depending on your local USCIS office, you might actually get a same-day oath or an oath within 10 days or so. In that case, once you do your oath and get your naturalization certificate, you can apply for a same-day expedited passport at a passport agency and get an US passport and travel as a US citizen.

        one more detail:

        if i come back to US before 2 days of my interwiev
        then get my interwiev on 20th;
        it could be ok? it seems they dont like to much travel..?

          As long as you meet the continuous residence (no single trips longer than 6 months) and physical presence (at least 30 months out of the last 5 years in the US) requirements, you are fine to travel. Even if you arrive in the US the same day you have your interview.
