C1D to be Scrapped - In line with policy of other countries

Seamen Visa C1D ,which in most of the cases , is used by seamen when their ship , after long voyage , arrives US ports to go ashore to get his hair cut or for buying mineral water for consumption during sea passage. Only in 10% cases it is used for replacement of crew which need transist . Such entry or exist visas are issued by the rest countries in all ports of the world in 06 hours.

If rest of countries also follow similar policy, then all seamen will have to obtain Visas of all countries before departure home town as destination or route of ship is unknown even to charterers or owners. It is not feasible and unpracticable, even no passport of any country have enough pages to hold such large number of Visas. It is international Issue
