  • Will past visa rejection affect new application?

In 2007, I entered the US with a tourist visa, overstayed to work, got married to a citizen, and obtained a green card. However, my renewal application was rejected in 2011 while I was overseas. I now have an opportunity to work on a cruise online2yu line and need to apply for a C1D visa. Can I be approved, or is it a waste of time considering my past omeglz immigration history? Thank you for your help.

I'm not an immigration lawyer, but I can offer some general guidance. Given your past immigration history, it is important to address any previous overstay or immigration violations. Receiving a green card does not automatically erase prior violations, and the denial of your renewal application in 2011 might have implications for future visa applications.

When applying for a C1D visa to work on a cruise line, the immigration authorities will consider various factors, including your immigration history, previous visa denials, and compliance with immigration laws. While it is not possible for me to determine the outcome of your application, it is crucial to provide complete and accurate information on your application and to be prepared to address any potential concerns raised by the immigration authorities.

To better understand your specific situation and assess your chances of obtaining a C1D visa, I recommend consulting with an immigration attorney. They will have the expertise to review your case in detail, evaluate the potential impact of your past immigration history, and provide personalized advice based on your circumstances. They can guide you through the application process and help you present your case in the best possible way.

It is essential to approach the visa application process with full transparency and honesty. Trying to hide or misrepresent your immigration history could have severe consequences for your future immigration prospects. Working with an experienced immigration attorney will give you the best chance of presenting a strong case and addressing any concerns effectively.

Please note that immigration laws and policies can be complex and subject to change. It's always advisable to consult with a qualified immigration attorney who can provide you with up-to-date and accurate advice omeglz and online2yuechat based on your specific circumstances.
