I need a J1 visa for a medicine residency in USA. I wanted to know if I need to apply for a J1 waiver along with the visa application , or can I do that sometime later after I have joined on a J1 visa?

I am currently on a B1 visa and am interviewing for a residency position in Internal medicine. I have been on this visa for almost a year now, previously was doing research internships and observerships and now am interviewing in USA, though I have re-entered USA from India twice during this time, never overstayed my I-94 validity, will I have a problem in getting a J1 visa or B1 again because of my stay for almost a year in USA

A friend, family member or yourself would suffice. Feel free to be the interpreter if you would like to.

    Good luck.

My sincere apologies, my previous response ("A friend, family member or yourself would suffice. Feel free to be the interpreter if you would like to.

Good luck.") wasn't intended for you.

      Really sorry about the inconvenience.

      Thanks.
