J1 visa interview

my friend got accepted into a 12 month hotel training program after several rounds of interview and passed them all and finally recieved the DS 2019 papers required for the J1 visa interview

does anyone know what the J1 visa interview at the chennai consulate is all about ?
what questions are asked ?
are they similar to the F1 student interview ?
any suggestions will be helpful

Most importantly like F-1, J-1 is a visa that requires non-immigrant intent
so your friend must give the impression to the consular that he/she wants
to come back after the program is over. A frequently asked indirect q
to determine non-immigrant intent is "What are your future plans?"
Answer should be about plans in home country and evidence if possible.

Other than that , your friend should take the J-1 approval form,
degree and experience certificates just like an F-1.
