Exceptional hardship "additional opinion has been requested regarding your case"

Hi everyone,

I have applied for the exceptional hardship waiver (I-612) and my status was changed to "an additional opinion has been requested regarding your case. Processing on your case will resume upon receipt of the additional opinion". Does it mean they have sent an approval to the Waiver Review Division at the Department of State and are waiting for their favorable response? Or the officer is asking his/her supervisor for an opinion?

It means that an i 613 was sent to the dos for their recommendation

Hey, how long did it take for CIS to receive the "additional Opinion" from DoS on your case? My case is in the same situation as yours now. Did you receive it at all?
