J1 to J2 conversion

Hi, can anyone please suggest if there any way possible to convert J1 to J2, I am working on my independent J1 but after having my first baby I want to stay home. At J1 there are not any maternity leaves either. Is it possible to get J2 as a dependent on my husband's J1? If someone has faced this issue please let me know, Thanks

J1 to J2 conversion

Hi! We have the same problem. My wife and I are on independent J1 and she is pregnant and would like to quit her job to care for the baby. To apply for a J2, does she need to go back to India or can she also apply in Canada? Also, is it difficult to get the J1 waiver?
