    2-Year Requirement calculation

    Hi all,

    I was in the US with a J1 visa which required 2-year home residency. I stayed in my home country for 18 months, but in the meantime I visited my friends in America on a tourist visa. I am wondering if the time spent on vacation in America during the 18 months is calculated towards the 2-year requirement or not. Any ideas?
