What country to have my interview in?

Hi,

I'd be very grateful if someone could lend support on my situation.

I am a British citizen working for an Irish university but living in France. I am also married to a French woman (married in France also). Later this year, I'll be moving to the US under the J1 visa with my wife as a J2. I will still be employed with the Irish university for the duration of my time in the US. Given this slightly complicated background, where is the best place to have my J1 interview: in my country of work (Ireland), country of birth (UK) or country of residence (France)?

Are you moving in USA for your work? If it is the case, maybe it's in the country where you work that you should do your visa.
