Kindly excuse me if this is a re-post.
I am Indian citizen currently doing PhD in India. I am about to apply for a B1 visa for a conference going to be help in USA in August 2015. I also have got a post-doctoral opportunity in USA, for which the indented date of joining is October 2015. I have not received the DS2019 from my employer yet. I am confused on how to apply for the visa. I have to apply for B1 visa immediately and wait for my DS 2019. Can I apply for J1 and J2 visa while my B1 in process in the embassy ? Appreciate your help
