JI Visa issued
I had been rejected twice for a tourist visa before , but i was issued a J1 visa . Considering the anxiety i was in, the entire process was quite smooth inside the counsulate in chennai. The visa officer just asked me simple questions on what kind of work i was going to do there and thats it. She told me my visa was accepted.
Its important to arrange the documents properly though and in an order with preferable a L type transparent folder and label all ur documents. Prepare urself with the standard questions that may be asked. Importantly, just stay calm and keep a smile on ur face.
