Status mismatch between CEAC website and local Consulate website

Hi All,
I am a J2 applicant and I had my visa interview , along with my wife who is a J1 applicant, in Kolkata Consulate last month. My wife had been given a 221 G White Slip. She was told that the Administrative process may take 2-4 weeks. Every Friday the status will be updated. I had been checking with the status file since then, and found for certain cases , even though the Status file of local consulate states pending, but in the CEAC website states Issued. What Does that mean? Which Website should we follow? If we see Issued against my wife's case number, Shall we contact the local Consulate for the Visa Status?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Finally we got our visa . It got approved on 14th August and we got it in hand on 17th August. Thank you
