J1 Visa with a one-way ticket, is this a problem?

Hello!

I have a J1 visa, with a one-way ticket to America. I didn't know that this could be a problem and therefore booked the ticket, but now I heard from some people that this might pose a problem. Of course I am planning to leave the US afterwards, because I have to graduate in The Netherlands after I finish my internship, however they might not believe this I guess?

Will this be a problem for me?

I am not an expert, but a one way ticket does not seem like a problem. You will get an I-94 record at the port of entry into the US which will have information on your arrival and length of stay. You should leave the country preferably before the latest departure date.
