DS 160 form fill up: Present Work/Education/Training Information Question
Hello all,
I am currently filling out DS 160 form as part of my J1 visa application. I have a question regarding "primary occupation." I completed my doctorate in August 2014 and then worked one year as a lecturer while I was on OPT. After completion of my OPT I returned to my home country. In the meantime, I received an invitation as a Research Scholar to conduct research at my university (from where I have completed my PhD) beginning in February 2016. In short, at present I am not working. So, can I choose the option "Not Employed" and then just explain that I recently completed my PhD and at present not working. However, I would begin a research project in Spring 2016.
Any help regarding this matter will be highly appreciated.
