J1 trainee son wants to visit

Hello, I am currently on a J1 visa on the USA, my son is 5 years old and my mom is visiting in June, we want to bring him along but I don´t know what visa he needs to apply, either a J2 or B2. He will only stay for 2 weeks.

You would need a B2 visa for him. Check out the Visa Waiver program.
