Dear friends,
I am in us currently on a visitors visa.I am applying for a residency,I am a doctor. I applied for a visa extension here to apply for graduate medical education. If i enter a us residency training program , the program will sponsor a j1 for me.
My question to you is if i apply for J1 visa here (change of visa status from b1 to j1) ,is it granted here in us, or should i go back to my home country(india) and apply for j1 there.
How difficult is it to get your status changed frm b1 to j1 while staying in us.
I will apprecaite all information.
