    Is it compulsory to have counselor signature on DS 2019 form?

    Hi,

    My wife attended for her J2 visa yesterday. She got her visa. However, the counselor forgot to sign the DS-2019 form and returned it to my wife. They took only her passport. Can anyone please let me know if its a must to have the counselor signature on the DS-2019 form? Thanks for the help.
