i came to the US under a j1 visa which expired last oct 6 2007. i have read that i J1 visa holders can stay 30 days more after their visa expired for travel purposes.. is this true? my j1 waiver is pending although i believe that it will be arriving soon since all the documents have been passed including the no objection letter from my home country. i also have a pending Q1 visa which was submitted last nov. 6 2007. i am still in the US and worried about my status. my question is am i legally staying here in the US? have i violated any rules that will make it hard for me to enter the US if i decide to go back to my home country right now? pls help me... thank you so much..
