Need help about J1 waivers and india travel-URGENT

hello,
Currently i am on J1 visa and i have the j1 waivers. I have the valid visa till the end of may 08. I am planning to travel india by the end of this month. Somebody said that after obtaining waivers if i went to India that waiver is not valid. is it true? can i go to India and come back after obtaining waivers? is my waiver valid after coming back from India? Please answer me. Thanks a lot.

You can travel to india and return.
