J2 dependent visa

Hi all,
My spouse has to go for VISA interview ( J2 independent) very soon. But suddenly we noticed that the PIN code in the address in her passport has a typing error. Would it affect anyway in her getting the visa?

OOOH MYYYEEEE GAAAAWWWDDD! You mean to say the PINCODE in her address in the passport is incorrrect!!! How could you not notice it until now??? They will now probably file charges against you for fraud and misrepresentation and call in the CBI for further verification and investigation. Forget about the visa, I am thinking if s/he will come out of the consulate without getting arrested or not??? You are in big trouble my friend, I sympathize with your situation, just pray God!

Thanks for your reply. Actually 6 digit PIN has been written as 7 digit in the passport (mistake of passport office). By the way did something similar (confiscation arrest etc) happen with your wife? I sympathize with you and appreciate for alerting me.

The incorrect pin code is not an issue and your wife should be fine and WILL NOT get arrested, I can assure you that Good luck!
