J2 VISA - Chennai consulate dates not available

Dear all,

I am looking for J2 VISA dates in chennai consulate for my wife. The dates are not available. Check after 24 hours is the frequent answer i get.... Looking for dates is making me crazy...

When is the idle time to get the dates... Any particular time of the day? When will they mostly update the dates on the website?

One more Question..

VISA dates for J2 are available for Tamil interview but not English. My wife has done her MSc. Can she attend VISA interview in Tamil (as VISA dates for J2 tamil is available).. Will it affect the VISA approval...

Will it be helpful if you could give ur suggestions..

J2 Visa

Yes, you can take appointment in TAMIL provided your spouse can talk in tamil. Even though its tamil most of the time the interview will be in English (as they prefer to speak and if your spouse can also speak). Dont worry.

How did your interview go on?. I too in the same status. English interviews are not available, however for regional languages it is available. Please advice

I too am having the same problem. I am unable to get appointment in English.
Is there any problem going for the interview in the regional language.
so, how did your interview go on and what questions did they ask?

Does the J2 require a sevis application and fee?
