Hi All,
My friend will be coming to the USA on a J1 visa to do her masters for an year. This is an exchange prg, with the first year in Ind and the second yr in the US.
1. Is it possible to apply for a J1 extension from US, if she gets admitted to another program after her masters (say, Phd).
2. How about J1-H4 conversion. Can she apply for a H4 after 1 year i.e just before the expiration of her J1?
Does she have to go back to her parent country for a few years before being eligible to apply for a J1 extension or a H4?
Would very much appreciate any response.
