J1 2yr HRR - Help required
Hi friends,
Could anyone help me out? I was a short term scholar from October 2008-Dec2008 and Was subjected to 2yrHRR. In March 2009 I got married to a GC holder who is now a US citizen.I am pursuing my PhD and shall be submitting my thesis soon.
My husband is physically challenged due to an autoimmune disease.
My questions are,
1.Can I apply for HRR waiver from India??? Or do I need to be physically present in US?
2. Can I apply for tourist visa in the meantime and apply for waiver once I go to US as I can be with him? Any chances of this visa being rejected?
3.Can I apply for a second J1? Will I be denied a J1 on basis of me being a potential immigrant?
I would highly appreciate if anyone could help me out.
