J2-visa help

Hi,
my husband went to usa in feb 2008 on f1 visa for doing master's, my f2 was denied so subsequently i went to usa on b1/b2 visa in dec.2008.i stayed there for 5 mnths.and came back to india for 6wks. Again i went to usa and stayed for 11 mnths with approved extension. Now in july 2010 my husband got j1 visa but my j2 was rejected(214b),as vo said that i overstayed??????.....
What r my options now??
Should i apply for j2 visa again???
Or
should i go to usa on b1/b2 visa and apply for change of status??

You should apply for J2 again. However, make sure to carry all the proof that you stayed in the U.S. legally and didn't overstay.

However, it is certainly possible that the officer rejected your visa because you stayed for too long while on B1/B2 visa. (This is different from overstaying).
