  • Applying J1 Visa

I am considering doing an internship in US with the J1 Visa. I heard that the best way is doing it through an agency, but their fees are CRAZY. Like, more than 3000€ in 12 months, I don’t know if I am going to be able to pay it with the salary (it is not that I don’t have it now, but I don’t want to spend my savings while I am WORKING).

By any chances, do you know if there is an uk visa similar to us J1? I know the graduate visa but I believe it is only for international students who study in uk.

    Thank you in advance

You don't just apply for a J1 and think you can hop on over and start looking for an internship. You need to have a sponsor first. What are your qualifications that would make you eligible?

I am contemplating the idea of undertaking an internship in the US using a J1 Visa. I have heard that the most efficient way of obtaining this visa is through an agency, but their fees are exorbitant, reaching over 3000€ in a span of 12 months. This amount is beyond my current budget, as I do not want to spend all my savings while I am working.

Is there a UK visa equivalent to the US J1 Visa? I am aware of the graduate visa but I understand that it is only available to international students studying in the UK.
