I have an inquiry regarding J1 visas for postdoctoral positions. Is it feasible for a researcher who holds a J1 visa shagle to work remotely for a university or organization in the US while omegle residing outside the US? Let's assume that both the organization and the supervisor in the US are agreeable to the researcher working remotely. Thank you.

If are not in the US, then you don't have J1 status (or any other status) in the US. The US has no restrictions on whether you can work outside the US; it is the country where you will be located when you work, that you might need work authorization for.
