Hi,
I applied for status change from H4 to J1 with premium processing and got approved within 2 days. My concern is that someone with J1 visa can only enter US within 30 days of start date of the program. But uscis approved my i539 and issued a new i94 with data which is more than 30 days apart from my joining date. I called uscis and they say they provide the data of approval as change of status start date. Is this a problem? And does this rule only applies if zi enter the US from a different country?
