Hi.
I have now finally found out that it is possible for me to change my current visa J1 to a B2, because i'm not under the two-year residence requirement rule.
But I have some few questions. First. I want to continue my internship on my J1 visa until 1. of may and from that date I will apply for the B2 visa. (Of cause starting the application process as soon as possible)But I can't find anywhere in the I-539 form where I can write from which date I want my visa changed. How do I notify about that, because that is quite important as I can not continue my internship on a B2 visa.
Second. Is it correct understood that when I have confirmed and sent the I-539 electronically I will have a receipt number and a address to where I must mail my supporting documents? And are these documents : Ds-2019,I-94, copy of my passport and my J1 visa all I need to sent with. Do I need to sent a picture with?
I really hope to hear from you. I want to do this right the first time.
